Overview

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.

It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - DEFENSE SPECTRUM ORGANIZATION.

Duties

• System Testing and Evaluation Specialist, who plans, prepares, and executes tests of systems to evaluate results against specifications and requirements as well as analyze/report test results to management.
• Designs, develops, tests, and evaluates information systems throughout the systems development lifecycle.
• Determines, analyzes, and develops requirements for software systems through interpreting standards, specifications, and user needs as a systems analyst.
• Determines, designs, and develops data requirements, database structure, process flow, systematic procedures, algorithms, and file structures to implement and maintain software systems using software engineering techniques.
• Works with systems using software methodologies such as distributed processing, systems networking, advanced information storage and retrieval, and management techniques.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
• This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
• This position is required to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance.
• This is a drug testing position.
