We are committed to providing high-quality care to patients immediately following cardiac surgeries, including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS.Position DetailsShift: 07:00-19:00Location: Nashville, TNUnit Name: CVICUPatient Ratios: 1:2; 1:1 for certain device patientsUnit Staffing and EquipmentStaffing: Free floating charge nurse, unit secretary, and Administrative Care Tech (M-F ), along with Student Nurse Externs for assistance.Equipment: Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, Alaris IV pumps.RequirementsScheduling2 weekends/month1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day)2 Winter Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day)Floating Policy:C/L employees float as needed, primarily to other ICUs but may include other floors.Certifications Required:BLS, ACLSRequired Skills:Strong critical care experience, including CVICU experienceAdvanced skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoringPreferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRTProcedures PerformedCare of immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patientsCentral line insertion, Swan insertion, intubationsDress CodeScrubs in black, red, or galaxy blue; scrub jackets/vests allowed.Awards & RecognitionHCA Unit of Distinction Award WinnerDaisy Award RecipientWhy Join Us?Be part of a strong, driven team of nurses with exceptional teamwork.
