Job Summary:

Mission Health is seeking a child and adolescent psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team, located in Asheville, North Carolina.

Description

Specialization: Psychiatry - Child and Adolescent

Qualified Candidates:

• Board certified or board eligible
• Experience with co-occurring conditions such as trauma spectrum, eating disorders, and substance use disorders
• 100% inpatient setting at Sweeten Creek
• 24 Bed Child & Adolescent Unit
• 7 On/7 Off Schedule
• 10-hour shifts
• Provides Collaborative Care Management (CoCM) consultation with primary care clinicians
• Please note that this position does not offer visa support

About Mission Healths Behavioral Health Services:

• 120-bed psychiatric hospital, Sweeten Creek, opened in 2023
• 23-bed emergency psychiatric evaluation area and 10-bed behavioral health pod in Mission Hospital emergency department
• Consultation on pediatrics and emergency services
• Active ECT program
• Involvement in teaching and supervision, with possible academic appointment through MAHEC
