Job Title: Telehealth Nurse Job Description As a Telehealth Nurse, you will counsel and educate oncology patients on specialty drug therapies via phone, managing both inbound and outbound calls. This role does not involve direct patient care or home visits. You will ensure adherence to contracted and accrediting regulations as specified by drug guidelines. Your responsibilities include complete and accurate documentation using electronic medical records, discussing potential and current side effects with patients, and facilitating ongoing therapy adherence. You will also be required to identify and report adverse events and product complaints to the appropriate authorities. Responsibilities Counsel and educate new and existing oncology patients on specialty drug therapies via phone.Ensure adherence to contracted and accrediting regulations as specified by drug guidelines.Complete thorough and accurate documentation using electronic medical records.Discuss potential and current side effects with patients to educate about treatment alternatives.Facilitate ongoing therapy adherence.Identify and report adverse events and product complaints to the manufacturer, FDA, and other governing authorities. Essential Skills Telehealth and triage expertise.Experience in acute care and oncology nursing.Registered Nurse license with current unrestricted multi-state compact state license (NC).3+ years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in acute, inpatient care.Proficient in patient education.Strong computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheet, and web-based programs.Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.Experience with motivational interviewing.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret practice standards, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Oncology and/or Hematology experience preferred. Work Environment You will work on-site from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, with an occasional Saturday on a quarterly rotation that may be remote. You will be part of a large healthcare leader focused on patient care and access. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, North Carolina.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41.00 - $41.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
