Travel RN – Pediatric Emergency Department

• Shift Times: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)

• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend, some holidays

• On Call Requirements: None

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Pediatric ED RNs for night shifts. Must have majority of experience in Pediatric Emergency Department ; Adult ED experience is a plus. Level 1 or 2 trauma experience and EPIC EMR experience preferred. Strong triage skills required, must be formally triage trained.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State RN license

• BLS certification (current, with ability to recertify)

• Minimum 2 years recent Pediatric ED experience in an acute care facility of similar size/level; combined Adult/Peds ED only experience not eligible

• Experience in hospitals equal to or greater than size/trauma level preferred

• EPIC EMR experience preferred

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Duties:

• Perform the majority of patient care skills with minimal orientation and supervision

• Conduct accurate nursing assessments in acute care pediatric emergency setting

• Apply triage knowledge and skills to prioritize care effectively
