How You Will Make History Here
This position will be responsible for category-based duties associated with direct ingredients and packaging orders and inventory management.
What You Will Do
Manages inventory and issues purchase orders for materials
Owns or is responsible for a purchasing group/MRP Controller
Maintains material-relevant master data (lead time, safety stock, lot size, etc.), optimization and continuous improvement focus
Monitors material exceptions daily (ZMD07, ZMRP_EXCEP)
Product life cycle management raw materials focus
Supports new item launches, order, and setup of new materials
Manages item runouts as part of transitions of discontinuations, partnership with Material Transition Planner
Nonconformance/reject materials tracker/vendor management
Adapt and update orders as needed based on Production needs/changes
Creating STO orders to ship materials to other locations, interplant and third party
Monitor scrap factors & yields
Use SAP's MRP system to release purchase orders for consolidated networks needs of raw materials, in order to meet Americas SMB plant production requirements
Leverage centralized visibility to optimize the balance between Minimum Order/pricing tiers and inventory DOC
Maintain updated MRP parameters to ensure accuracy
Address delivery and supply issues while upholding network inventory strategies
Work with Local Material Representatives at the plants to track deliveries and respond to schedule changes
Execute plans to coordinate interplant transfers or expedite orders as necessary
Participate in development, tracking, and reporting of metrics to ensure overall category objectives are delivered
Monitor and rotate inventories to resolve blocked and slow moving material in order to reduce controllable write-offs and properly dispose of obsolescence
Place orders for any short-term or test-run materials as needed.
Act as a liaison with the Local Material Representatives, Master Data teams, and commercialization teams to track and coordinate the ordering of new and transitioning materials
Exception: At Toronto this will remain local at the plant
Collaborate with WHQ Buyers/Procurement to improve service and reduce inventory levels
Provide input to optimize contract terms
Provide holistic perspective during supplier calls
Act as liaison with Local Material Reps and Corporate Buyers to address vendor non-conformance
Undergo training for other categories and take on backup responsibilities for at least two other CR positions
Who You Will Work With

What You Will Bring To The Table... (Must Have)
High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of experience within Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Planning, or Transportation, etc. OR Bachelor's Degree
It Would Be Great If You Have... (Nice To Have)
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management
3+ years of experience within Food industry or food manufacturing
Understanding of:
- Plant production processes and supply chain planning
- Materials flow and inventory management
- Plant supply bases
- Quality assurance
Experience using MRP and t-codes to query information
Compensation and Benefits
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $62,200-$89,500. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
