American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU float pool position with strong ICU and float experience, required to work nights and float among multiple critical care units.Job Details•Position based in the nursing float pool, floating within multiple ICUs, PCU/CCUs, ED holding, and med-surg units,•Float assignments may include neuro, trauma, medical, surgical, post-cardiac, and respiratory compromise populations,•ICU nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2; stepdown and ED holding ratios as appropriate to acuity,•Possible floating to a nearby hospital location, with advance notice when required,•Uses Epic EMR; previous Epic experience is required,•12-hour night shifts with schedule made every three weeks; every other weekend required,•Orientation includes one day of general hospital orientation and two days of unit-based training,Job Requirements•Active RN license required; compact or state-specific,•Minimum one year of recent ICU experience required,•Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required,•Prior float pool experience is required,•Demonstrated competencies in cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent and BiPAP management, invasive line management, trach and chest tube care, and titration of IV medications,•Epic charting experience is required for consideration,•Telemetry competency exam must be completed and passed prior to start,Additional Information•Will not be assigned fresh CABG/TAVR, EVDs, post TPA, or device management such as ECMO, IABP, Impella, or hypothermia protocol,•Supported by charge nurse, hospitalist, RT, intensivist onsite 24/7, and cardiologist on call for critical care,•Responsible for clinical rounding, bedside report, whiteboard updates, and medication safety protocols,•Professional scrubs of any color are permitted,•Free parking is available in designated areas,•Breaks are required and monitored,•Time off requests greater than five days require manager approval,•First-time travelers with strong ICU and float pool experience will be considered,),•hash,:• ,
