Material Handler Opportunity
Doherty Staffing is currently partnering with a leading supplier in the fabrication industry located in the Alexandria, MN area. We are seeking candidates for Material Handler roles on the 1st shift. Compensation for these opportunities ranges between $18.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Interested? Read below for more information!
What You Will Do As A Material Handler:
- Pull parts, hardware, and materials needed for job orders
- Safely load, unload, and transport materials within the facility
- Conduct cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records to keep stock levels reliable
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
- Perform basic upkeep for material handling equipment, helping to maintain its performance and longevity
- Prepare materials for production or shipping in line with job orders and customer needs
- Take on additional tasks as assigned to support the team and overall operations
What You Need To Be A Material Handler:
- Previous experience in material handling or a related field is a plus, but not required
- Strong organizational skills and accuracy in managing inventory are essential
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodations
