Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Lorain, Ohio (44053) - Cleveland area healthcare jobs Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D) / Mother Baby Unit Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Week: 36 Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 - End: 12/22/2025) Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1880-$2020 Scrubs: Provided on unit Interview: Not required for this healthcare job Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must obtain prior to direct patient care) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire) Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (required) Recent OB, Emergency Department (ED), or critical care experience (preferred) Ability to flex between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units EKG exam required Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification (preferred) Experience with EPIC, Obix, and GE fetal monitors (preferred) Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care for women, newborns, and families in a Level 1 OB unit Circulate and recover C-sections (scrub experience is a plus, but not required) Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and educate patients and families Administer medications safely and document care in EPIC EHR Monitor fetal tracings and respond to obstetric emergencies Support breastfeeding and provide discharge teaching to new mothers Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team including OBGYNs, CRNAs, pediatricians, and neonatal nurse practitioners Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff (OB techs, LPNs, secretaries) Maintain patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and compassionate care for diverse patient populations Work in a hospital featuring 18 LDRP beds, 4 triage beds, and 2 operating rooms, averaging 60-65 deliveries per month.
