Woodhull Medical Center, an affiliate of NYU Grossman School of Medicine, is a 417-bed community hospital providing primary, specialty and acute care services to the residents of Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Bushwick, and North Brooklyn. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatry Nocturnist to provide overnight psychiatric care across our Inpatient Psychiatry Units and Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP). The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality psychiatric assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention during overnight hours. This position plays a vital role in ensuring continuity of care and safety for our behavioral health patients during night shifts.
The selected hire will be employed through NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential along with the ability to problem solve. Responsibilities Include

• Be the primary physician in charge during the overnight hours in our CPEP
• Provide psychiatric coverage during overnight hours for inpatient units
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage acute psychiatric presentations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing and medical staff
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in the electronic health record in a timely manner
• Participate in handoff communications to ensure continuity of care
• Support psychiatric emergencies and crisis interventions during the shift
  

Required Qualifications

• Eligible for license in the state of NY
• Board Certification
• 2+ years of experience working in CPEP as an attending preferred.
• Bilingual English & Spanish preferred

Annual Base Salary: is $289,000-$340,000

• 403B/457 participation inclusive of a 10% employer contribution with no employee match required
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement ranging from $3000-$3500 inclusive of one week of paid CME time
• Projected annual revenue sharing payments of up to $30,000 contingent upon meeting required productivity and compliance metrics
