We invite applications for a faculty positionin the Division of Urogynecology. Thisis an open rank, open track full-time faculty position in the Department ofObstetrics and Gynecology. UNM'sUrogynecology Division has an established fellowship, has a busy clinicalpractice, and is active in research and education.The successful incumbent they willbe involved with clinical teaching and clinical research at clinics on and offcampus. The division is host of anaccredited Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship, with aprimary objective to train well-rounded, subspecialist physicians who areexperts in surgical anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the pelvicfloor. With the guidance and collectiveexperience of our faculty, fellows develop teaching and research expertise inpelvic floor disorders to assist in the development of successful andproductive academic careers. The Divisionof Urogynecology is also home of a dedicated pessary clinic focused on the careof women with prolapse and incontinence who prefer non-surgical treatment oftheir pelvic floor dysfunction. Additionally,the Division of Urogynecology also welcomes creative research opportunitieswith a team of research coordinators to aid in these adventures. To fulfill this position, we are seeking ahighly motivated, well trained, academic focused physician. The incumbent hired will be expected toparticipate in the education and surgical training of medical students,residents and fellows in the clinic, classroom, and operating room, and willprovide additional surgical opportunities for training residents and fellows.
