Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiologist - West Virginia University Children's Hospital

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia

West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a Medical Director of Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology for its expanding Pediatric Cardiology program. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a supportive academic environment!

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship. Additional formal training in pediatric electrophysiology is required.
  • Board Certified/Eligible in pediatric cardiology.
  • At least two years of post-fellowship experience is highly desirable.
  • For consideration at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, candidates must demonstrate leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive pediatric cardiology care, specializing in electrophysiology.
  • Collaborate with advanced practice professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.

WVU Medicine Children's Hospital Highlights:
  • Newly-built 150-bed hospital located on the WVU Medicine campus.
  • Dedicated cardiac operating rooms and a hybrid cardiac EP and interventional catheterization lab.
  • Dedicated pediatric cardiac anesthesia staff.
  • Pediatric surgery suites are easily accessible from the EP clinic.
  • Headquarters for Project Adam , a program that helps schools, sports programs, and community sites become Heart Safe , providing resources for cardiac emergencies.
  • Working towards pediatric transplant certification.
