Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring advanced fetal monitoring and high-risk delivery experience.Job Details•Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting,•Unit includes 12 L&D beds, 10 triage beds, and 12 antepartum beds with approximately 200 births per month,•Patient population includes expectant mothers from 20 weeks gestation and above, including high-risk cases such as hypertension, multiples, diabetes, and substance abuse,•Staff follows AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios,•Utilizes Cerner for EMR and Fetal Link for fetal monitoring,•C-section experience is required including circulating; scrubbing is preferred,•OB/Neonatologist coverage is in-house 24/7,•Weekend work is required every other weekend,•12-hour night shifts (7pm-7am) with floating to antepartum and postpartum as needed,•No on-call requirements,Job Requirements•Active unencumbered RN license in CA or Compact (NLC); pending licenses are not accepted,•At least 4 years of recent L&D nursing experience required,•Experience managing high-risk deliveries and with medications such as pitocin, mag sulfate, and insulin drips,•Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and advanced AWHONN fetal monitoring,•Prior experience with Cerner EMR and Fetal Link is preferred,•C-section circulating experience required; scrubbing experience preferred,•Must provide two professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years,•Copy of driver's license required for consideration,•No acrylic or overlay nails permitted during assignment,Additional Information•Orientation includes three floor-specific shifts,•Support includes charge nurses who may take assignments as needed and two OB techs per shift who assist with deliveries and C-sections,•Sterile scrubs are provided and must be worn at all times,•Holiday coverage includes one major and two minor holidays,•Not eligible for candidates directly employed by facilities associated with CommonSpirit, including Dignity and CHI, within the past year,•Travel nursing experience is preferred,•No IV team present; respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7,•Testing for sterile technique may be required during orientation,),•hash,:• ,
