Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for a 12-hour rotating shift. This position requires flexibility as it primarily consists of night shifts with the expectation of working every other weekend and major holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess and manage patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Utilize clinical judgment to prioritize patient care in emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records of patient care.
Requirements
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications are required prior to start.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
- Experience in large, teaching facilities is preferred.
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years is mandatory.
- Travel experience is required unless prior experience has been in larger (500+ bed counts) teaching facilities.
- CEN, ENPC, MOAB, ProAct, or other de-escalation training is preferred.
- Reliable transportation is essential; public transportation is not available in the area.

- Guaranteed hours for the contract: 168 weeks
- Orientation sessions are bi-weekly, scheduled for Mondays.
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
- Complete all work history information (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) for submission.
