Samaritan Health Services has an opportunity for a Consult-Liaison Psychiatry Physician
Samaritan Health Services, a non-profit integrated healthcare delivery system, is seeking a full-time Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist to join our team in Corvallis, OR.
Our award-winning health system provides exceptional primary care and a range of specialty services throughout the mid-Willamette Valley and Central Oregon coast. The network serves approximately 300,000 residents in Linn, Benton, Lincoln and portions of Polk and Marion counties. Job Specifics
- Join a well-established, full-spectrum mental health program, with a multi-disciplinary staff to include physicians, nurses, LCSWs, and patient care coordinators.
- Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
- Provide competency evaluations and care recommendations for patients in the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center ED and medical floors
- Patient volume can vary widely given the needs of the medical center at any given time
- Serve as an attending psychiatrist, with oversight of psychiatry residents and teach medical students.
- Approximately 2 nights/month of back-up call to residents (call is shared between Samaritan Mental Health Outpatient and inpatient physicians)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Current Oregon Licensure or license eligible
- BCLS certified
- 2 to 3 years of experience in Psychiatry
- Knowledge in working with patients who have chronic health conditions
- Eligibility to work in the United States
