The Dean of the College of Rehabilitative Sciences provides academic leadership and administrative oversight for physical therapy and occupational therapy programs across multiple campus locations. Reporting to the Chief Academic Officer, this individual collaborates with program leadership and administrative teams across student affairs, enrollment, finance, and compliance to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs, operational effectiveness, and student success. The Dean plays a critical role in driving academic innovation, interdisciplinary coordination, and strategic expansion aligned with institutional goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Direction and Program Growth Execute strategic initiatives aligned with institutional goals through resource planning, faculty development, regulatory compliance, and student recruitment. Define academic excellence through measurable performance metrics and outcomes. Identify and implement expansion opportunities to meet healthcare workforce demands. Lead the development and launch of new programs across campuses. Shape a research agenda that supports academic goals and professional advancement. Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Coordinate with institutional academic leaders to foster interdisciplinary innovation across programs and campuses. Champion academic adoption of technology-enhanced teaching and learning methods. Academic Excellence & Quality Assurance

Monitor and enhance student success indicators such as licensure pass rates and employment outcomes. Cultivate a high-performing academic culture driven by continuous improvement and collaboration. Oversee accreditation processes and maintain strong relationships with regional and programmatic accrediting bodies. Guide the formulation and review of academic policies, student appeals, and quality-related procedures. Use institutional data to support evidence-based program evaluation and improvement. External Relations & Industry Partnerships

Strengthen institutional visibility and reputation with professional organizations, accrediting agencies, and industry partners. Expand clinical affiliations to provide practice-based learning opportunities and support graduate employment. Support enrollment through outreach with feeder schools and alumni engagement. Financial and Operational Management

Allocate resources to support strategic and operational goals. Contribute to enrollment planning and develop contingency plans for fluctuations. Ensure accreditation compliance through the establishment of streamlined procedures. Oversee financial performance, budget planning, and operating surplus for the College. Implement effective faculty workload models to optimize teaching capacity. Travel Requirements: This position requires approximately 2530% travel between U.S. campuses.

Supervises: Senior academic leaders for Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy

Required Skills & Attributes:

Proven leadership experience in academic administration and program oversight in rehabilitative sciences. Clinical or teaching background in a health-related field preferred. Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, innovative academic environment. Exceptional people management and team-building abilities. Effective communicator with strong presence and strategic orientation. Committed to academic excellence and aligned with the institutions mission and values. Education & Experience Requirements:

Doctorate or terminal academic degree (e.g., PhD, EdD, DHSc). 710 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education. Experience in building and expanding academic programs, including new program development. Familiarity with campus-based and online learning modalities. In-depth knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance processes in rehabilitative sciences. Licensure and Certification Current clinical certification in a rehabilitative sciences discipline required. Eligible for licensure in the applicable state(s).
