Journeyman Plumbers
to join our team. As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and residential buildings. You will work independently or as part of a team to ensure plumbing systems are installed and maintained according to industry standards and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plumbing systems, installation techniques, and local codes and regulations. You will be responsible for reading blueprints, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and residential buildings
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation requirements
Coordinate with other trades and project teams to ensure plumbing systems are installed correctly and on time
Inspect and test plumbing systems to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, fixtures, and fittings
Provide estimates for plumbing projects and materials
Train and mentor apprentice plumbers
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications:
Journeyman Plumber license issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience in commercial and residential plumbing installation and repair
Strong understanding of plumbing systems, installation techniques, and local codes and regulations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Working Conditions:
The Journeyman Plumber will work primarily on construction sites or in existing buildings, which may involve exposure to hazardous materials, equipment, and conditions. The role may require occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
The Journeyman Plumber must be able to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods, as well as lift and move up to 50 pounds. The role may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and respirators.
