City: Columbus State: Ohio Status: Accepting Candidates Description: A Senior Bridge Engineer responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff. This key role provides guidance, mentorship, and technical review of work completed by junior level staff. This individual provides technical development of proposals and external presentations Required: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required Professional Engineer (PE) license required Ohio PE preferred Minimum 10 years' engineering experience required Structures management experience required AASHTOWare BrR load rating experience preferred Steel and Prestressed Concrete Bridge Design Experience required ODOT experience strongly preferred Demonstrates a strong knowledge of the structural engineering discipline with the proven ability to practically apply engineering best practices Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, MIDAS, Bentley Systems etc.) Understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering Desire and ability to mentor junior staff Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences Proficiency with MS Office software required An active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred Company website: www.chasolutions.com Competitors to search from: Other consulting firms who have bridge design teams on staff. Job order details: The Senior Bridge Engineer resolves highly complex technical issues and continuously monitors the progress and performance on a project to ensure efficient production and uncover potential problems. The professional in this role recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections following standard procedures and recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of design.
