We now specialize in sprinkler system testing, repair and installation , kitchen and restaurant systems , fire alarm design, installation and service , backflow prevention devices , full service alarm monitoring , fire pump repair and installation , and underground hydrant repairs and installation , among the many services we offer .Great company culture and room for growth.ResponsibilitiesPerform fire alarm system repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and replace defective partsPerform programming on fire alarm systemsUse device manuals to repair non-functioning fire alarms and restore fire alarms to original functionalityFeed cables through access holes, roof spaces, or cavity walls to reach fixture outlets, positioning and terminating cables, wires or strappingsRepair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specificationsEnsure compliance to fire and electrical codesDemonstrate systems for customers and explains causes and consequences of false alarmsEducate customers on preventative care and regular maintenance to prevent system malfunctionsCommunicate daily with service supervisor and/ or dispatchers on project delays, requirements and general status of jobKeep tools and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, etc.Complete and produce reports that are legible, accurate and detailed Invoice paperwork in a timely mannerStay current with code requirements and industry changesAttend and complete all required safety trainingPerform other related duties as assigned or requiredRequirementsAbility to travel to multiple job sites each dayAbility to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders multiples times a dayHigh precision/ detail-oriented•Ability to use a computer and read blueprintsDecent verbal and written communication skills•Ability to work independently, with little supervision Knowledge of fire systems and toolsDoes not take short-cuts: work effectively and efficiently while performing all aspects of the required job Valid driver's licenseHigh School Diploma/ GED3+ years prior relevant work experience Able to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer needsAble to carry and move tools and equipment up to 70 lbs.Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions - climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.Able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders/ stairs multiple times a dayHigh precision/ detail-orientedAbility to use a computer and read blueprintsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently, with little supervision Knowledge of fire systems and toolsPreferredG and F cardCSA CertificationNICET CertificationOSHA CertificationKnowledge working in Profit Zoom, Building Reports, and PaylocityWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)BenefitsMedicalDentalVisionPaid Time OffPaid Holidays401(k) matching
