Our vision, building partnerships that last, applies to our employees as well as our customers.This position assists with installation, troubleshooting and repairing, and other general tasks related to the maintenance, installations and repair of Avionics systems and components on a variety of aircraft product models.Salary and Benefits Wage Scale:The wage scale for this position ranges from $27.00 to $44.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications and performance. Plus, you can earn lower rates through our wellness program.RXnGo Pharmacy benefit - Generic prescription coverage at zero cost to the employeeTime Off - You will receive 8 paid holidays and paid vacation.Relocation Assistance Provided for most of our positions401(k) - Company MatchCompany Sponsored short-time and long-term disability as well as life insuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) - Confidential consultation and resources services 24/7Training and Education- On average, Elliott Aviation invests upwards of $3,000 per team member on development of technical skills as well as soft and leadership skills Responsibilities of this position include: Troubleshoots and repairs all avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraftCommunicates with department manager or crew chief on any problems or repairs Ensure all work performed is inspected by an authorized repair station inspectorPrepares various documents for record keeping purposes as required by company policies, FAA approved repair station and quality control manuals, all FAA regulations, OEM aircraft manufacturer manuals, etc. Learns, understands and follows the company work order and parts requisition process as written.Maintains a clean, neat, and efficient work areaRepairs and calibrates shop equipment as assignedTop candidates will possess: Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanorAbility to communicate well in straightforward situationsOrganizational skills and attention to detailAbility to maintain a safe and clean work environmentAbility to analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, or procedural manualsExcellent mechanical aptitude and a desire to workOther requirements include: Experience working on and troubleshooting aircraft avionics and airframe systemsThorough knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145.Experience working with and repairing the following aircraft systems:Autopilots, Flight Management Systems, Navigation and Communication Systems, EFIS, Aircraft Electrical Systems, Lighting, Pitot and Static SystemsAny bench repair capabilities preferredA&P License / FCC License a plus
