JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

n

*Implement and maintain supplier quality processes and documentation in accordance with AS9100, leveraging business systems functionalities to drive process efficiency and effectiveness.

n

*Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain to ensure supplier flow down and compliance to QMS, customer, industry, regulatory/statutory, and any applicable requirements.

n

*Maintain approved suppliers including supplier qualification, periodic performance review, supplier relationship management, risk assessment, and removal, if needed.

n

*Provide technical guidance, support, and training to suppliers to ensure alignment to requirements for execution.

n

*Collaborate with design engineering to ensure suppliers design for manufacturability (DFM) considerations are incorporated.

n

*Perform nonconformance investigation and drive root cause corrective action when supplier issues occur.

n

*Support disposition of nonconformances including rework, scrap, and RMA.

n

*Monitor and drive supplier corrective actions requests (SCARs) when escalated.

n

*Establish and analyze supplier performance metrics including defect rate, nonconformances, on-time delivery, cost of rework/scrap, and supplier corrective action resolution.

n

*Use performance data to drive strategic partnerships and develop supplier capability with key suppliers.

n

*Perform supplier site audits and source inspection as needed.

n

*Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

n

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

n

*Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.

n

*Minimum of 5+years of supplier quality experience in aerospace and defense industries.

n

*Experience managing suppliers for space-grade machining, PCBs, PCBAs, integrated assemblies, and test.

n

*Demonstrated skills in supplier management, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

n

*Ability to interpret engineering documentation, requirements, and other supplier flow downs.

n

*Experience with certified quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.

n

*Expertise in root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action implementation.

n

*Experience with aerospace and electronics manufacturing.

n
