What You'll Do
- Build and maintain full-stack features using TypeScript, Node.js, React, SQL, and AWS
- Ship iteratively while upholding strong code quality standards
- Collaborate directly with users to improve the product experience
- Work closely with the team on-site in San Francisco (3-5 days/week)
- Contribute across engineering, product, and infrastructure as needed
What We're Looking For
These are strong indicators of a good fit-not strict requirements:
- 2+ years of experience writing production-level code
- Prior experience at a small but high-performing tech company (under 100 employees)
- Strong communication, decision-making, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Comfort with ambiguity, early-stage product development, and self-direction
- Bonus: startup experience, side projects, open source contributions, hackathon wins
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a Top 20 CS program (e.g., UC Berkeley, Stanford, CMU, MIT)
- Experience at highly respected engineering/product companies (e.g., Ramp, Cruise, Brex, Rippling, Snorkel)
- Early-stage startup experience as a founding engineer or early hire
- Deep experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Strong skills with RESTful APIs, JavaScript, and SQL
- Familiarity with AWS environments
- Must be authorized to work and start on-site immediately (OPT, TN, or H1B transfer eligible)
- Willingness to relocate to San Francisco if not already local
- Comfortable interacting with clients and occasional travel (1-2x/year)
