As a Security Guard – Media Patrols PT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. You will be part of a team that uses our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability, gaining hands-on experience across various industries. This position offers growth opportunities and the chance to contribute to a positive atmosphere through teamwork and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver a consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior
• Monitor access points and report any unusual or suspicious activity according to site protocols
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while maintaining a visible presence
• Document incidents and daily activities as required by site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines
• Support emergency response efforts as directed by site management and Allied Universal protocols

• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
• A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred
• Experience with X-ray screening is preferred
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
