Job Description
Join our team as a Mechanic, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a fleet of trailers and semi-tractors. You will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance, performing state and federal DOT inspections and repairs, and ensuring safety and cleanliness compliance. Your work will include documenting clear work orders and maintaining service trucks and shop work areas.
Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance and perform state and federal DOT inspections and repairs.
- Inspect trailers and semi-tractors to identify and perform necessary repairs.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness compliance in all work areas.
- Maintain company service trucks and shop work areas.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Experience in diesel mechanics, tractor and trailer repairs, and fleet maintenance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical repairs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance.
- Skills in welding, brake systems, diesel engines, schematic interpretation, engine, and transmission repairs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Open to candidates with various levels of experience, including entry-level individuals eager to learn the trade.
- Thermo King or Carrier certification preferred, mandatory within 6 months of employment.
- Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Capability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, and handle multiple tasks.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $38.00/hr.
