Job Description Solidus is hiring a Senior Database Engineer. This is an on-site role based in Richardson, TX. Responsibilities
Identify and understand customer needs and apply asound, demonstrable understanding of database principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering to translate those needs to viable design solutions Utilizecritical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well Create, update, and managedatabases and the code that interacts with them Successfully integrate Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products as part of customer-driven solutions Required Qualifications & Experience
US Citizen with an active Top Secret Clearance Obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs Undergo a comprehensive background investigation Bachelor\'s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) 5 years of Database Engineering as a Database Administrator (DBA) and Database Engineer (DBE) Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) solutions, such as Oracle, Postgres, or related systems Experience working with Systems and Software Engineers to implement and modify backend databases to interact with applications within a development environment Experience virtualizing or containerizing databases Experience using the Linux command line to perform database administration activities Obtain Security+ certification within days of start Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Active TS / SCI is preferred Existing Security+ Certification NoSQL database products such as MongoDB and DynamoDB Experience troubleshooting database issues such as DR, replication & backups and other related issues Troubleshooting performance issues Database security controls and audit & compliance requirements Experience with automating routine tasks Experience with Spatial databases Coding experience (SQL, Python, Java) What we will bring
