ES Systems Sr. Engineer - Remote Job ID: 233749 Posted: 13-Aug-2025 Service line: GWS Segment Role type: Full-time Areas of Interest: Administrative, Engineering/Maintenance, Project Management Location: Remote - US ES Systems Sr. Engineer The purpose of this position is to provide customers with support based on the customer’s technical problems related to their building systems as well as provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and subcontractors. This position is also responsible for creating control databases and setting up control systems based on project specifications and/or sales proposals. Performs field startup and system commissioning tasks as well as the remote installation of software and control programs. USE: Energy and Sustainability Responsibilities

Creates programming logic using flow diagrams, sequences of operation, panel layouts, termination details and project specifications or sales proposals. Performs programming of control applications using various software tools to support operator workstations, DDC field panels and third-party integration devices connected through multiple communications protocols. Performs job-site system checkout, commissioning and testing of control applications to verify proper operation according to project specifications, sales proposals and design documentation. Develops system graphic displays according to project specifications or sales proposals. Provides on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers. Participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours responses to customers. Performs system analysis and diagnostics. Identifies, isolates, troubleshoots problems, and takes corrective action when possible. Answers customer calls by telephone and/or email to determine the nature of the problem and responds with clear and accurate information tailored to customer needs. Articulates resolutions to customers clearly in both verbal and written communication; explanations are provided in a customer-friendly format with the best interest of the customer and ESI in mind. Documents problem resolutions and reports findings back to Account Executive/Project Manager for customer follow-up. If required, re-creates customer problems in-house for testing solutions. Keeps customer and management informed of outstanding or recurring problems with products, services, or customers. Advises the Sales/Solutions team of new opportunities to sell additional products or services. Other duties may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to coworkers within a work unit and/or project. Provides mentoring and training to Systems Engineers. Qualifications

Associate Degree in HVAC, Electrical or Mechanical or completed apprenticeship. Five years of related industry experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous field bus and network experience preferred. Certificates and/or Licenses

A valid driver’s license with a good driving record for applicable vehicles, without restrictions, or limiting conditions. (Corrective lenses permitted) Communication Skills

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret various types of business documents as a basis for development and delivery of training materials. Ability to create and present training reports, manuals, instructions, and presentations in a pre-designed style and format. Ability to effectively respond to sensitive issues and complex training inquiries or complaints from clients, coworkers, supervisor, and/or management. Ability to create and present effective presentations on processes, procedures, technology and soft skill topics to all internal departments, large groups of employees, clients, and/or management. Able to prepare accurate paperwork. Regularly communicates customer suggested improvements to various communications and interactions with the company. Financial Knowledge

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis. Reasoning Ability

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. Other Skills and Abilities

Experience with control and HVAC systems and their terminology. Thorough knowledge of the use, setup and operation of Windows-based computers and desktop applications such as MS-Word and MS-Excel. Flexible with schedule, including working some nights and holidays when requested. Willing to travel up to 50% including some overnights. Scope of Responsibility

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor. CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $85,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $87,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. Application Window and EEO
