About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Medical Economics Strategy to lead the design, development, and implementation of impactful financial analytics that support our affordability agenda. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a wide array of business case analytics, monitor trends, and guide medical cost council teams.
The successful candidate will expertly communicate the total value of trend management initiatives across critical areas, including medical policy, payment policy, care management, and pharmacy. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining trend management initiative tracking tools while delivering insights that drive pricing, financial planning, and executive decision-making.
We are looking for a leader who can collaborate effectively with key business partners and positively influence the development of innovative initiatives. A deep understanding of the healthcare delivery system and health plan operations, particularly in medical economics, trend management, pricing, forecasting, and provider payment methodologies, is essential.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and proven results in influencing senior leadership. With a minimum of 10 years of healthcare experience, including direct involvement in medical economics and industry benchmarking best practices, you will be well-equipped for this role.
A BA/BS degree is required, with a preference for candidates possessing an FSA, MBA, or another advanced degree. Strong leadership capabilities and staff management experience are vital, as you will provide enterprise-wide leadership in analytics coordination and effectiveness while driving initiatives designed to improve member health and the quality of healthcare.
