Description

\n Inspect, diagnose, and repair centrifugal, positive displacement, submersible, vacuum, gear, and diaphragm pumps.

\n

Perform disassembly, cleaning, overhaul, reassembly, alignment, and testing of various pump systems to ensure proper function.

\n

Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance according to established schedules and industry best practices.

\n

Troubleshoot pump-related issues involving seals, bearings, impellers, motors, and couplings.

\n

Maintain accurate maintenance logs, parts usage records, and repair reports.

\n

Support planning and execution of overhauls or rebuilds.

\n

Assist with root cause analysis of recurring failures and recommend corrective actions.

\n

Prepare inspection reports to include conditions found and recommended repairs IAW. specifications

\n

Research parts and materials for pump repairs using OEM technical specifications and other various vendors to ensure repairs are completed IAW. specifications

\n

Ensure compliance with safety procedures, lockout/tagout policies, and environmental regulations.

\n

Train and mentor junior mechanics and maintenance staff as needed.

\n

Perform other mechanical work as required to support maintenance and operations.

\n

Qualifications

\n Must be able to read, write and comprehend instructions in written or spoken in English.

\n

Must be able to calculate and understand units of measure.

\n

Must be reliable with a strong work ethic.

\n

Must be able to use and interpret various measurement tools to include Calipers and Micrometers

\n

Must have basic hand tools applicable to your trade with bag or tote.

\n

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, tech manuals and work specifications for various types of machinery and/or piping systems.

\n

Must be able to wear applicable PPE (Hard hat, safety goggles, gloves, steel toes shoes, ear protection)

\n

Desired Education and Experience:

\n Education Minimum: High School Diploma/GED

\n

Minimum: Trade School, Apprenticeship, or Higher Education

\n

Minimum Relevant Experience: 7 year Relevant Experience: 10+ years

\n

Basic computer skills

\n

\n

\n Must have reliable transportation

\n

Must be eligible to obtain DBIDs

\n

Must be able to pass a drug screening

\n

\n

Trade Class Designation:

Helper

Performs a variety of duties with a basic knowledge and understanding of their respective trade. The position generally requires daily supervision and typically requires at least 1-3 years of relevant experience.

Junior Tradesperson

Performs a wide variety of duties with an advanced knowledge and understanding of their respective trade. The position generally requires moderate supervision and typically requires at least 4-7 years of relevant experience.

Senior Tradesperson

Performs a wide variety of duties at an advanced or expert level. A senior tradesperson understands theory, operation, and advanced concepts within their respective trade. The position generally requires little or no supervision and typically requires at least 7-10 years of relevant experience.

Physical Demands

Must be able to work in, on, around, over and under fixed equipment and machinery; to work from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding; to manipulate heavy equipment, tools and supplies and/or exert 50 lbs.; to concurrently manipulate multiple controls and machinery; to work in hazardous or irritating environments, confined spaces, and adverse weather or temperature conditions, to wear and work in personnel protective equipment.
