Maintenance Technician Direct Hire

We are currently seeking an experienced
Maintenance Technician
to join our growing team in Lapeer, MI! This is a direct hire opportunity with a full benefits package and paid time off. If you're a motivated professional with a strong background in plastic injection molding and plant maintenance, we want to hear from you!
About the Maintenance Technician Role:
As a
Maintenance Technician , you will provide essential maintenance support in a paint, flocking, assembly, and plastic injection molding facility to ensure the production of high-quality products with on-time delivery. You'll perform both corrective and preventive maintenance on a wide range of machinery and equipment.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
Perform daily and weekly maintenance checks on molding, flocking, and paint robots
Coordinate with supervisors to schedule routine or emergency repairs
Troubleshoot and maintain equipment including plastic injection molding machines, robots, grinders, vacuum pumps, conveyors, and hot stamping machines
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as required
Install and maintain new machinery and systems
Maintain facility and equipment to current OSHA standards
Operate forklift and maintain necessary certifications
Maintain documentation using Work Order Forms
Support company quality systems and participate in continuous improvement
Adhere to all IATF-16949 / ISO 14001 policies and company regulations
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a plastic injection molding environment
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
Ability to read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and PLC ladder diagrams
Excellent communication and computer skills
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (Kanban, 5S, Standard Work, etc.)
High school diploma or GED required
Valid forklift license (or ability to obtain through the company)
