Material Handler Job Responsibilities: Facilitate efficient production and distribution by accurately pulling orders from inventory, delivering necessary production materials and supplies, and ensuring proper staging of finished products for their final distribution. Contribute to an organized and efficient stock and materials storage area. Maintain accurate inventory levels by identifying, labeling, and managing materials and supplies, recording locations, and proactively reporting any shortages. Effectively locate materials and supplies by verifying items listed on production orders. Support in-process inventory levels at workstations by delivering and opening necessary materials and supplies. Pack and locate materials for shipping processes. Securely document materials and maintain accurate records of units delivered and their locations. Process credit-return materials from production by confirming materials and supply codes, lot numbers, and quantities. Prepare finished stock for shipment by effectively identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products for transport. Record and document product shipments by keeping precise records of units shipped. Ensure the proper maintenance of material-handling equipment by performing pre-use inspections and conducting necessary operator repairs. Skillfully operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and various machinery to efficiently move items or direct machine operators for loading and unloading tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization in inventory areas, loading zones, and machinery workspaces. Open containers, sort, and catalog materials for efficient tracking and handling. Starting wage is $20.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience.
