Your primary responsibilities will include:
Reviewing assigned claims and engaging with the insured and impacted parties to set clear expectations for the claim process.
Conducting in-depth coverage analysis and identifying all potential policyholder benefits.
Investigating the details of each claim, including damage assessments and applicable state laws, to determine valid coverage and recovery potential.
Documenting all findings and maintaining accurate records in the claims management system.
Utilizing strong negotiation skills to ensure fair settlements.
Approving payments and referring cases to specialized units when necessary.
This position typically involves handling homeowner claims valued over $100,000. You will be responsible for preparing damage estimates using claims software and actively monitoring repair status.
We offer a competitive salary in the range of $73,000 - $82,000 annually, with additional annual bonus potential based on your performance. Along with a robust benefits package including:

Our ideal candidates will possess:
Required Qualifications:
Eligibility to acquire a State Adjuster's license within 90 days of hiring.
A valid State Driver's License.
Experience:
Negotiating claim settlements and resolving coverage questions.
Securing evidence and preparing estimates, both manual and electronic.
Handling subrogation claims and taking detailed statements.
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of the Essential Insurance Act (Michigan), Fair Trade Practices Act, and subrogation processes.
Awareness of building and construction repair techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in Business Administration, Insurance or a related field.
Completion of relevant insurance programs or coursework.
