SAIC, a leading provider of systems engineering and IT services, is seeking data architects to join the Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (DevOps) and Sustainment Support (ADOS) program and provide on-site technical and administrative support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will be located in the National Capital Region. This is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by fall 2025. Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and use advanced analytic and data science tools, including data visualization, link analysis, correlation, analytics programs, machine learning, and statistical methods to prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling. Develop architectural strategies for data modeling, design, and implementation to meet enterprise data management requirements. Develop data implementation roadmaps and standards for interoperability, data cataloguing, datasets, data quality, and entity attributes. Create and implement data business rules, data lifecycle management strategies, and data mapping documents to transition from legacy to target data models. Provide leadership on complex projects, oversee project work plans, milestone tracking, and coordination of efforts; contribute to strategic data architecture goals in collaboration with data owners, mission managers, and stakeholders. Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph. CompTIA Security+ and/or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP). Experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or related role. Proficiency in creating data mapping documents and transitioning to new data models. Expertise in applying data technologies, data management processes, system analysis principles, and assessing data solutions for policy compliance. Understanding of maintaining data dictionaries, provenance, models, and catalogs in an enterprise IT and Agile environment. Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, SQL, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle). Level requirements:

Level II: Bachelors and 5-8 years of experience or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree. Level III: Bachelors and 9-17 years of experience or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree. Desired Qualifications: Database administrator certification (AWS, Microsoft, Oracle, or MongoDB). Experience with data architecture tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, or Lucidchart. Experience in DataOps, Agile, and DevSecOps environments. Experience with Big Data applications like Hadoop and related tools. Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000.
