Job Description

A strong background in the design and/or commissioning of electrical systems in NYC buildings including, normal power, emergency power (including generators) for high rise buildings and, lighting systems, battery back-up/UPS, switchgear, and photovoltaics. Experience should include fire alarm systems. And lLow voltage systems experience is a plus. Engineer for this position will be working to provide engineering consulting service for commissioning, design review, field inspection and field testing of building systems. Candidate should have an interest in learning the application of commissioning and inspections related to mechanical and domestic hot water systems as well.

Work under the supervision of senior engineers.

Perform site visits and inspections.

Review drawings, specifications and project submittals.

Develop commissioning plans including functional performance test scripts under guidance of senior engineers.

Documentation of various commissioning-related activities.

Perform electrical load calculations for buildings.

Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

Qualifications: Qualifications

Experience 5-10 years

BS in engineering, electrical

Professional Engineer (PE) is highly desirable either upon joining or planned in the future.

Superior verbal communication and writing skills

Proven project management skills

Proven ability to engage well with external stakeholders (e.g. clients and design partners)

Thorough knowledge of energy efficiency in large and complex buildings

Thorough knowledge and experience with the Energy Code is highly desirable

Proficient in Microsoft software, particularly Excel;

Basic AutoCAD and Revit skills
