Job Description As a Sales Manager for Mortgage Services, you will play a crucial role in driving the sales activities of our Mortgage Loan Officers. Your primary focus will be on enhancing customer experience, optimizing service delivery, and boosting departmental performance. You will lead strategic initiatives, oversee special projects, and contribute to impactful presentations. Essential Functions Devise and implement effective sales strategies to achieve department goals.

Ensure Mortgage Loan Originators efficiently manage their mortgage pipelines.

Coach and maintain a motivated team of Mortgage Loan Originators to maximize production.

Identify and develop new business sources to enhance market presence.

Create strategies to capture business from potential referral avenues.

Maintain origination and closed loan targets to meet production objectives.

Recruit and nurture high-quality Mortgage Loan Originator candidates to grow market share.

Train and mentor staff to elevate productivity and ensure comprehensive knowledge of bank loan programs and guidelines.

Tailor sales strategies for each Mortgage Loan Originator according to their territory's characteristics.

Collaborate closely with the operations team to provide prospects with exceptional service and outcomes.

Generate timely and accurate reports to manage sales team performance.

Act as an active Mortgage Loan Originator by reviewing mortgage loan applications.

Adhere to all company policies, federal and state regulations diligently.

Utilize Microsoft Office and other departmental software to enhance efficiency.

Foster a collaborative team environment.

Ensure compliance with external vendors and uphold data integrity.

Effectively manage personal tasks and workflow.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required.

Registration with NMLSR per the SAFE Act and annual renewal is mandatory for employment.

5 - 6 years of experience in the mortgage industry is essential.

3 - 5 years of prior management or supervisory experience in a financial institution is required.

In-depth knowledge of banking laws, regulations, and the mortgage origination process.

Strong understanding of conventional and government loan products, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, USDA-Rural Housing, and VA loans.

Familiarity with Ellie Mae-Encompass, Loan Product Advisor, and Optimal Blue pricing engine is preferred.

Good grasp of retail mortgage loan pricing.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated sales, leadership, and organizational abilities.

Able to work collaboratively while managing multiple deadlines and priorities.

Proven track record in managing staff, leading initiatives, and thriving in a team setting.

Strong selling skills with the capability to convert prospects into loyal customers.
