Lummi Nation Job Center: Crisis Substance Use Disorder Professional Crisis Substance Use Disorder Professional 05/16/2025 Close Date (Until Filled Not Entered) Department Behavioral Health Duration Regular Full-Time 1 Job Summary The Crisis Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) will provideculturally competent behavioral health services within a tribal community, focusing on theprevention, intervention, and treatment of substance use disorders (SUD) and related mental healthissues. This role involves the development and implementation of crisis intervention plans, clinicalcounseling, and coordination of care across various service systems, including tribal departmentsand external agencies. The Crisis SUDP will integrate tribal healing practices alongside evidence-based methods to address patient needs holistically, ensuring that patients receive comprehensivecare in a supportive, respectful environment. The Crisis SUDP is a member of a Lummi Crisisoutreach team with the ability to respond to and provide crisis services in the community (e.g.,homes, schools, and shelters). The Team serves adults, adolescents, and children who areexperiencing a behavioral health (mental health and/or substance use) crisis regardless of theirfunding source. The Crisis team offers short-term crisis intervention and prevention servicesutilizing strength-based, solution-focused, culturally congruent, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented interventions.
