What You Can Expect:
You will actively build, enhance, and sustain data pipelines utilizing cutting-edge big data technologies such as Apache Spark and Kafka, enabling us to manage large-scale data while supporting AI capabilities.
About the Team:
Join a close-knit team of seven seasoned engineers who drive all of Zoom's AI functionalities and foster data-informed decision-making throughout the organization. Collaborate with experienced engineers and analysts to develop innovative data solutions, leveraging state-of-the-art big data, distributed processing, and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines for both structured and unstructured data, alongside optimizing data warehouses and analytical data models.
Write and refine intricate SQL queries to meet analytics, reporting, and application requirements.
Work closely with stakeholders to transform business insights into data-driven transformations and workflows.
Implement distributed data processing solutions using Apache Spark and Apache Flink, employing Scala or Python.
Create streaming and messaging systems using Apache Kafka.
Optimize solutions within the big data ecosystem (e.g., Hive, Presto, HDFS, Parquet, ORC).
Manage deployments and workloads using Kubernetes in cloud or hybrid settings.
Develop automation scripts in Linux/Unix shell for various data processing tasks.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or 13 years of relevant professional experience.
Proven expertise in ETL design, development, and data warehousing concepts.
Demonstrated experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
Strong proficiency in Python programming, emphasizing object-oriented design principles.
Extensive experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark and Apache Flink.
Experience with AWS or other leading cloud platforms.
Skilled in Linux/Unix shell scripting.
Solid knowledge of the big data ecosystem, including tools like Hive, Presto, Hadoop, HDFS, Parquet, and ORC.
Salary Range:
Minimum: $73,300.00
Maximum: $169,500.00
