About the Role
We are looking for a
Senior Claims Specialist, E&S Property
to enhance our North America Claims team as we expand our presence in the E&S Property market. Reporting to the Claims Manager and located in either Alpharetta, GA, or Red Bank, NJ, you will handle a portfolio of complex commercial claims while adhering to company protocols for coverage verification and resolution strategies. In this role, you will: Manage a variety of E&S Property Claims for AXIS policyholders in different jurisdictions. Ensure compliance with claim policies and procedures, maintaining adherence to company standards. Efficiently triage first notifications of loss while leveraging a network of service providers. Set accurate claim reserves and collaborate with senior team members as necessary. Review policy wordings to confirm coverage and escalate issues that arise. Prepare coverage positions for Claim Manager review and approval. Work closely with Independent Adjusters, external legal advisors, and brokers to maintain high-quality service to clients. Acquire knowledge of the legal frameworks and claims handling practices relevant to various jurisdictions. Monitor claims and develop effective resolution strategies. Ensure compliance and quality assurance through adherence to best practices and participation in audits. Manage claim performance metrics, including cycle time, quality, and customer satisfaction. Foster relationships with internal partners, sharing updates on large losses and trends. Engage in collaboration with Underwriting and Senior Claim Management to enhance client services. Exemplify best-in-class claims handling as demonstrated by internal and external feedback. Embody AXIS culture and values of People, Decisiveness, Excellence, and Stronger Together. Key Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or 5-7 years of equivalent claims handling/underwriting experience. State licenses as required, with the ability to obtain additional certifications. Experience in managing commercial Property claims preferred. Strong multi-tasking and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers. Interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, and SharePoint. Able to thrive in a hybrid, self-directed work environment. Work Environment:
Preferred candidates should be able to commute to an AXIS office, as this is a hybrid work environment requiring attendance three days a week.
