Job Summary:
Join our dedicated team as a Night Shift Maintenance Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our production equipment operates seamlessly. If you are passionate about maintenance and eager to contribute to sustainability through your work, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks on all production machinery and equipment. Perform repairs and replacements on mechanical parts such as bearings, filters, wiring, and switches. Diagnose operational issues by observing and listening to mechanical devices. Dismantle devices to access and replace defective parts, ensuring quality inspections of components. Inspect and analyze used parts for any dimensional changes. Adjust functional components and install necessary parts to ensure optimal performance. Initiate purchase orders for required parts, and ensure machines are lubricated and maintained. Participate in the on-call program, including additional hours as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment. Requirements: High school diploma or GED, alongside at least one year of relevant experience or training. Comprehensive understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting. Electrician's License preferred, but not mandatory. Key Skills: Expertise in machine setup, troubleshooting, and executing repairs while following safety guidelines. Strong abilities in PLC troubleshooting, reading, and programming code. Solid knowledge of electrical controls, mechanical assembly, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals. Efficiently troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues related to production and facility equipment. Capable of performing timely repairs to minimize downtime during emergencies. Competencies: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage various concrete variables. Ability to understand diverse instructions in written, oral, and diagram form. Physical Demands: Availability for 12-hour shifts (8a-8p or 8p-8a), working 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next, with the capacity for overtime. Regularly required to reach, stand, walk, and handle materials, with occasional climbing or crawling. Must frequently lift or move more than 100 pounds with assistance. Duties may require specific vision abilities, including close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Work Environment: Work involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, with occasional contact with toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the environment can range from medium to loud.
