Senior Vice President, B2B Technology
is a leadership role for an award-winning Technology PR agency. As a senior member of our leadership team, the Senior Vice President will be a visionary leader with 13+ years of experience growing teams and delighting clients. The role includes driving new business development, supporting agency infrastructure, and advancing key business priorities. As a growing PR agency, this position involves mentoring, managing, and leading account teams on client management, staff development, and strategic guidance while also leading select accounts. Oversee $1.5–$2M in account revenue as most senior, strategic client counsel Consistently develop a coherent strategy for clients and projects Act as a trusted counselor and advisor to top executives at leading technology companies Own and drive a cornerstone in the agency (excellent careers, superb client service, strong financials, improved operations and tools — "smooth operators") Generate revenue within existing clients by assessing the full marketing and communications mix and offering strategic recommendations to expand scope or add services Identify and lead pitches to bring in new clients with growth goals tied to compensation Collaborate with integrated teams to provide seamless multi-channel solutions across traditional PR, digital, and social media Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement with a commitment to quality Manage, mentor, and develop staff with a supportive and collaborative approach Monitor staff performance, set objectives, priorities, and conduct annual evaluations Represent Highwire and key clients at industry events to maintain professional development and build networking opportunities Support profitable client service while monitoring staff billability, client needs, and resource allocation Maintain account group revenue by managing budgets and the ebb and flow of accounts Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field Minimum 15 years of experience in communications, either in-house or with an agency, with at least 5 years in senior leadership Proven ability to proactively build relationships with top reporters and editors and secure high-impact placements Extensive writing and editing experience for external audiences across print and online media Experience with social media influencer engagement, content campaigns, and media coverage amplification Leadership in managing a comprehensive strategic communications, media relations, and marketing program Innovative thinker with a track record of translating strategy into action Experience building, mentoring, and coaching a team of communications professionals Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs Experience setting up measurement programs and assessing ROI of communications activities Highwire Perks
