NEW JOB ALERT! This Technical Accounting Manager role works cross functionally with corporate accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, and controllership teams. Research, write memos, adopt, and implement for all areas within technical accounting including: Responsibilities
Revenue Recognition (ASC 606) - contracts, variable consideration, multiple-element arrangements, unbilled revenue, and contract modifications Lease Accounting (ASC 842) - operating vs. finance leases, right-of-use assets, and lease liability measurement Business Combinations (ASC 805) - purchase accounting, goodwill, intangibles, and step acquisitions Debt and Equity Transactions - convertible debt, preferred stock, warrants, equity-linked instruments, and complex capital structures Stock-Based Compensation (ASC 718) - options, RSUs, PSUs, valuation methods, and expense recognition Fair Value Measurement (ASC 820) - valuation techniques, Level 1-3 inputs, and impairment testing Derivatives and Hedging (ASC 815) - interest rate swaps, foreign currency contracts, and hedge accounting Impairments - goodwill (ASC 350), long-lived assets (ASC 360), and intangible assets Pension and Other Post-Retirement Benefits (ASC 715) - defined benefit and defined contribution plans Internal Controls/SOX 404 - technical accounting processes, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring New Standards Implementation - assessing impact, drafting memos, and leading adoption projects What makes you a fit
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a mix of Big 4/public accounting and corporate technical accounting Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex accounting concepts to non-accountants Serve as a sole contributor in a project-based role What’s in it for you?
