Jetson is hiring its first
Head of Finance and Operations
to build and lead the Finance function from the ground up. You will be both operator and strategist, owning the numbers day-to-day while serving as a key partner to the CEO. The role combines operational finance (cash management, payroll, vendors, expenses) with strategic finance (planning, forecasting, fundraising, capital allocation). You’ll work directly with the Founders to design and implement the systems that will lay the foundation for Jetson’s next phase of growth - enforce budget discipline, quarterback future fundraising processes, and provide the financial insight that drives decisions across Operations, GTM, and Engineering. This is a high-ownership, IC role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to build the financial foundation of a hyper-growth company. What you’ll do
Strategic Finance Act as the CEO’s right hand on all fundraising and investor-facing initiatives: prepare board materials, investor updates to support Series A+ fundraising Build forward-looking models and projections to guide hiring plans, growth investments, and spend discipline across the business Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment of headcount, sales capacity, and operating expenses with company growth goals Partner with Sales on Deal Desk support - reviewing pricing, contract terms, and deal structures to accelerate cycles while maintaining financial discipline Own financial analysis and modeling to support key decisions around resource allocation, customer economics, and long-term capital strategy Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages, partnering with external accountants as needed Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance by partnering with external tax advisors Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure the company's financial stability and optimize resource allocation Optimize the investment of surplus cash to generate returns Business Operations Build scalable systems in a lean, resourceful way by leveraging new tools to automate and unlock growth without adding unnecessary overhead Oversee contract lifecycle, NDAs, and compliance documentation in coordination with legal counsel Support office setup, tools, and systems as we scale physical presence Oversee onboarding, HR documentation, and people ops processes in the early stages What We're Looking For
5 - 10 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years at a high-growth startup, Investment Bank, or top tier consulting firm Deep understanding of B2B SaaS Metrics, pipeline, and sales capacity planning Prior experience supporting fundraising, board, or investor relations is a plus CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus but not required Must have exceptional analytical skills and financial modeling proficiency Type-A, sweat the details person, but also able to see the big picture Clear communicator who can drive initiatives cross-functionally High degree of ownership, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset Comfortable being hands-on and operating independently in a fast-paced, early-stage environment Must be excited to work in-person in NYC Why you should take this job
