About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Chief Financial and Operations Officer (CFOO) to be an integral part of our Executive Team. In this pivotal role, you will lead our middle and back office operations, financial and accounting functions, and overall fiscal operations. You will guide a team of skilled professionals in accounting and investment operations, ensuring excellence in strategic initiatives and management oversight.
Your collaboration across all departments will be key as you partner with the Executive Director and other leaders in shaping our future. You will take the lead in designing procedures and policies, coordinating external audits, reporting, and navigating strategic and legislative planning.
The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in accounting or business administration with a focus in accounting, while an advanced degree is preferred. We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of significant management and supervisory experience. A strong background in investment accounting, familiarity with institutional investment portfolios and capital markets, and a history of measurable success are essential.
Expertise in financial and accounting systems, comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, GASB, and GAS, and the ability to ensure compliance with relevant state and federal regulations are crucial to this role. A CPA license and experience working with legislative bodies are highly preferred.
