Overview
As a Doula Program Coordinator, you will lead the development of a doula hub serving families throughout the birthing journey. This role is central to building equitable, patient-centered care for pregnant individuals delivering at Legacy facilities. Responsibilities
Create a culturally diverse doula hub that will provide antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum doula services to all interested pregnant people with Medicaid planning to deliver at Legacy Health. Coordinate the day-to-day operations of developing a doula hub for Legacy. Additional duties include coordinating workflow, problem solving, research and development, interviewing/staffing doulas, assisting families with pairing them with a doula, tracking improved health outcomes, establishing contracts with payors, reimbursements, and revenue workflow, and facilitating meetings as needed. The Doula Program Coordinator is a communication link with the patient and the health care system. The Doula Program Coordinator participates actively in the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the program. Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; understanding of health care setting; completed a doula training Experience:
Two years of related professional experience required. Skills:
Ability to interact and communicate positively with colleagues, patients, families, providers, and the community. Advanced skills with appropriate computer systems and software packages. Ability to work in a self-directed manner. Time management and organizational skills. Data collection, entry and summarization for leadership review.
