Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal
Salary:
120,000 - 145,000
Role Overview This position involves end-to-end litigation support on complex intellectual property disputes, trade enforcement actions, and regulatory matters. The successful candidate will manage filings, deadlines, and discovery workflows, and play a critical role in trial preparation and execution.
Responsibilities
Coordinate filings, discovery, and procedural workflows for IP and regulatory litigation
Submit electronic filings via systems such as PACER, ECF, EDIS, and similar platforms
Track case schedules, court deadlines, and procedural milestones
Support attorneys in preparing testimony, visual materials, and legal submissions
Monitor government hearings and industry developments and summarize key insights
Liaise with external agencies, expert consultants, and internal teams to ensure case readiness
Conduct legal and industry research using professional databases (e.g., Westlaw, Relativity, Docket research tools)
Maintain data accuracy, proofread legal documents, and ensure adherence to citation standards (e.g., Bluebook)
Travel occasionally to assist with depositions, mediations, or trial logistics
Qualifications
At least 8 years of paralegal experience in litigation, with emphasis in two or more of the following areas: intellectual property, Section 337 disputes, pharmaceutical patent challenges, or trade remedy cases
Strong familiarity with U.S. District Court practices and agency procedures
Knowledge of international trade controls, import/export law, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ITAR, EAR, HTS, BIS) is highly desirable
Comfortable managing complex dockets and multiple ongoing litigation timelines
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF editing tools, and legal database platforms
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex legal content and communicate clearly
