TriCorps Security is hiring a Special Police Officer (SPO) (Security Officer). Location: Washington, DC, United States of America. Salary: $27.50 per hour. Founded in 2000 by career law-enforcement officials, TriCorps is staffed with experienced security professionals for the private sector. TriCorps Security is headquartered in Oklahoma City and employs over 1,000 security officers from North Dakota to Florida. Responsibilities

Perform entrance control: Enforce the building entry and identification system, operate security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items; check items such as handbags, briefcases, computers, packages, baby carriages, wheelchairs, etc. Perform roving patrol: Patrol facilities and grounds in accordance with post orders. Perform stationary post assignments: Stand guard at stationary posts, monitoring CCTV, duress alarm systems, and other security equipment. Perform escort duties: When directed, provide armed escort services for executives or other designated individuals. Enforce law and order: Detain individuals attempting unauthorized access or acts that imperil safety and security of employees, property, and the public. Prepare reports and records: Prepare reports on contract performance issues, such as labor hours, accidents, fire, bomb threats, unusual incidents, or unlawful acts within the facility area. Preserve order: Provide security presence on client property, enforce local rules regarding prohibited items, and protect client buildings as needed. Education

High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience

Security: 4 years (Preferred) Armed Security: 2 years (Required) License/ Certification

Driver's License Valid DC Special Police Officer License issued by SOMB Current CPR Certification Current MEB (Extendable Baton) Certification 9mm Certified Work Remotely
