As a Board Member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization, ensuring financial sustainability, and furthering our mission of creating safe spaces for individuals to share their stories and creativity. This is a volunteer role that requires a commitment to governance, financial oversight, fundraising, advocacy, and strategic planning. Ideal candidates will have experience in nonprofit board service or related professional fields, possess strong leadership and communication skills, and be able to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Board Members are expected to demonstrate high integrity, ethical conduct, and a commitment to transparency and accountability. Your responsibilities will include: Providing oversight to ensure the organization fulfills its mission effectively and ethically. Reviewing and approving financial decisions. Assisting in fundraising efforts and promoting the organization as ambassadors. Engaging in strategic planning, monitoring progress, and evaluating programs. Ensuring legal and ethical compliance.
