will take charge of a dedicated team of network engineers and analysts, focusing on performing both virtual and physical discovery of DAFA networks. You will create detailed network migration plans to transition each DAFA to the DoDNet environment. The role requires a commitment to commute to

Ft. Meade, MD

two days a week and an active DOD Secret clearance. Key Responsibilities Include: Leading multiple teams in the discovery and analysis of DAFA networks, facilitating network migrations to DoDNet. Mentoring network engineers and collaborating with the Network Engineering Lead and Project Managers to ensure effective team growth and alignment. Enhancing processes to optimize network discovery, analysis, and planning efficiency. Designing secure network solutions to migrate connectivity services under an enterprise service model. Partnering with stakeholders and technical experts for legacy environment discovery and developing appropriate designs. Creating secure wide area connectivity solutions that meet performance, quality of service, and security requirements. Integrating capacity planning and scaling into network and security stacks within the overall solution design. Identifying and documenting legacy service paths and developing strategies for future enterprise service capabilities. Supporting the development of IP addressing schemes for IPv4 and IPv6 networks. Collaborating with information assurance teams to ensure compliance with DoD standards and assist in providing accreditation artifacts. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years. A network certification meeting or exceeding CCNA (comparable vendor certifications may be accepted). Experience managing teams of engineers and fostering a collaborative environment. Proficiency in documenting designs using tools like Visio or PowerPoint. Experience conducting site surveys and analyzing data obtained from those surveys. Demonstrated ability in executing migration plans across different environments. Significant experience with network device upgrades and life cycle replacement. Expertise with networking components across LAN, WAN, and security technologies. Experience with at least two networking technologies, such as Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto. Capability to design and implement medium to large network infrastructures. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present designs to technical leadership. Current IAT Level II (or higher) Certification, such as Security + or CISSP. Active DOD Secret clearance is mandatory. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
