Our nonprofit, incorporated in 2019, is seeking to fill three Board positions with members from across the United States. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of sustainable fashion and engage in impactful conversations and policymaking at a national level. As a member of our Board, you will contribute towards the development of a critical report on sustainable fashion, establishing essential definitions and creating a unified language that will facilitate effective policy initiatives. Your expertise will help steer the organization through a vital growth phase, enhancing its capacity to influence sustainable fashion practices. The Board's primary focus for the upcoming two years will be on expanding our fundraising capabilities and securing a sustainable operational model. Expected contributions from Board members include: Providing approximately four (4) hours of service per month Attending at least 75% of Board meetings throughout the year Actively participating in fundraising efforts We are particularly seeking candidates who possess: Experience in fundraising and strategic planning Knowledge of grant writing and grant procurement Expertise in sustainable fashion and industry connections Strong interpersonal skills and access to high-net-worth individuals interested in sustainability Academic or research background in sustainability Understanding of nonprofit financial management Travel Requirements Less than 10% Key Functions Non-operating Board of Directors Strategic Planning Essential Skills Fundraising expertise required Financial acumen required Event Planning skills required Nonprofit Management knowledge required Business Storytelling abilities required
