Full-Time, Onsite Position Overview A home care company is seeking a highly capable and detail-driven
Controller
to take full ownership of the agency's financial operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role oversees financial statement preparation, audits, and the monthly/year-end close process while managing an accounting team. You’ll serve as a key player in delivering accurate, timely financial insights and driving operational improvements in a growing, fast-paced healthcare setting. Strong leadership with ability to manage a small team
Highly reliable and proactive in delivering results
Comfortable working in-office
Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines
Open to candidates from
non-healthcare industries
Key Responsibilities Own monthly and year-end financial close processes across multiple entities
Prepare and manage annual audits and tax-related filings
Supervise a team of 3 in-house accountants and 2 outsourced staff
Oversee bank reconciliations, AP/AR accuracy, and journal entries
Deliver periodic financial reporting and variance analyses to CFO
Implement process improvements and maintain accounting controls
Qualifications and Must-Haves Degree in Accounting required
Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and financial statement preparation
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Prior team management experience
CPA is a
plus , not required
Proficient with accounting systems and Excel
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
