Overview
STR’s Analytics Division researches and develops novel technologies to solve challenging national security problems through advanced analytics. Our team consists of engineers and scientists with advanced degrees in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, and data science. We use our expertise to take innovative ideas from conception to mature implementation to improve mission success for our customers. The Signals Exploitation and Tracking (SET) Group in the Analytics Division focuses on applying machine learning, statistics, estimation, and information theory algorithms for signals exploitation, target tracking, and system resource management. Role
As a Software Engineer at STR, you will help develop disruptive technologies focused on estimation theory, prediction and system resource management. You will design and implement flexible software solutions and collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams. You will provide high-impact, unique solutions for our customers’ most important problems. This position is based primarily in the Woburn, MA office. Qualifications
Ability to obtain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship required by U.S. Government) BS or MS (or equivalent experience) in computer science or related field 3-5+ years of relevant experience Proficient in writing maintainable, well-documented code and APIs Ability to work and collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams Experience with Linux Experience with C++ and Python Experience with container-based software (e.g., Docker) 5+ years of experience applying technical expertise to solve complex problems Familiarity with containerized software deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) Familiarity with microservice architectures Experience with DevOps pipelines Experience in intelligence or military-related mission areas Existing security clearance Environment and Focus
